Methods
We assessed the existence of multicollinearity by calculating the variance inflation factor (VIF) for all variables, and then performed multivariable ordered logistic regression analysis.
We assessed the existence of two or more independent predictor variables in a regression model, which are closely correlated. We did this by calculating the variance inflation factor (VIF) for all variables. We then performed multivariable ordered logistic regression analysis, this is used to study how two or more independent variables affect a ranked categorical outcome.
Introduction
Mental health disorders are a main cause of illness-related absenteeism or presenteeism worldwide.
Mental health disorders are a main cause of illness-related unexplained and habitual consistent absences from work. Mental health disorder also cause individuals to show up when ill, stressed or tired.
Results
Before performing the multivariable ordinal logistic regression analysis, we conducted a test for multicollinearity.
Before preforming a multivariable ordinal logistic regression analysis: A statistical method used to predict an ordinal outcome variable using two or more explanatory variables. We conducted a test for correlation of two or more independent predictor variables.
Discussion
Lee et al. recently conducted a meta-analysis of observational epidemiological studies.
Lee et al. Recently conducted a statistical research method that combines the data and results from multiple independent studies on the same topic, to find a single, more reliable conclusion. Their research was designed where investigators observe and collect data on natural health events without interfering or assigning treatments.
Future Directions
Global studies of this same topic would prove valuable, this study was only performed in the Shandong Province of China. It would bring greater strength to the results if more variables were present: Shift work in other occupations (not just nursing,) And more locations.
Difficult Material
In general it would be helpful to have background statistics knowledge, this would help me have a better understanding on the data analysis used for this research. I would like to have an understanding of one-way analysis of variance.
